Final-year Information Technology engineering student building applied AI and IoT systems, and writing about what responsible AI adoption should look like in Nepal.
I'm completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology at Nepal College of Information Technology, where my work sits at the intersection of machine learning, natural language processing, and the messier, real-world problems that come with agriculture, healthcare, and public infrastructure. I'm drawn to systems that hold up outside a demo — ethical, explainable, and useful to the people who actually have to rely on them.
Recent recognition
- 2026 — Two research papers published, one in an IEEE Xplore conference proceedings and one in a national engineering conference proceedings
- 2025 — Selected among the Top 30 for Huawei Seeds for the Future, with site visits to Ncell, Huawei Nepal, and the UN Nepal office
- 2025 — 1st Runner-Up, 33rd National Industrial Trade Fair & IT Festival, for an IoT-based smart farming system
- 2025 — Best Innovative Sustainability Solution, SemiColon 48-Hour Hackathon

Selected work
- Smart Irrigation & Agriculture System. An IoT and AI based platform for crop and irrigation monitoring, built for the classroom and later entered — and recognised — in two national competitions.
- AI Chatbot with Appointment Booking. A conversational assistant that lets users schedule appointments through natural-language chat rather than a form.
- Phishing Site Detection & Blocker. A lightweight tool built during a hackathon to flag and block suspicious phishing domains in real time.

Background
Outside coursework and research, I chair the IEEE NCIT Student Branch and helped found the Rotaract Club of Central Valley Kasthamandap, where I focus on grant education and humanitarian project work. I've also written for OnlineKhabar English on AI policy and data privacy in Nepal. Details are under Education, Skills, and Volunteering.
